In the past, I've found with hot horses that they can get more and more wound up and can start to look on lunging time as a chance to tear around and kick their heels, literally. <br />I've also been concerned up to now about doing too much with him, he's had the whole summer off plus the 2000km journey and I'm sure his muscles are mush too, but hey he's here two weeks now, maybe it's time to push on.Martinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14496995504975297110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359337712503283199.post-74780300536933954022012-10-29T04:16:15.917+01:002012-10-29T04:16:15.917+01:00You've got your work cut out for you. That way if he gets pissy, I'm not on him for the tantrum. When he won't stop, have you tried sending forward? As in, really forward asking for more and not stopping until he chills, wants to stop, make him go a bit more so its your idea, and then the downward transition is a reward. It works well with Winston. Just a thought. Your method got results too.Oak Creek Ranchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02875705582058188289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359337712503283199.post-8331806505594937212012-10-28T17:45:43.749+01:002012-10-28T17:45:43.749+01:00Thanks Máire, he is being a conundrum...Thanks Máire, he is being a conundrum...Martinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14496995504975297110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359337712503283199.post-37303827366353113752012-10-28T17:45:12.760+01:002012-10-28T17:45:12.760+01:00Don't be too quick with your praise, Allie, we...Don't be too quick with your praise, Allie, we're not "there" yet!Martinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14496995504975297110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359337712503283199.post-17572768254427541992012-10-28T16:01:42.147+01:002012-10-28T16:01:42.147+01:00Interesting to read - I will follow his diary.Interesting to read - I will follow his diary.Máirehttp://poniesathome.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359337712503283199.post-17490108486743018312012-10-28T00:22:47.681+02:002012-10-28T00:22:47.681+02:00Good job with Aero!
